I was thinking it might be good do do another follow up but jump a few years ahead and move onto PS2 era graphics! That would be a future project though.
And I hope this translated properly I do not speak Spanish sorry so I had to use Google Translate!
This game nails the retro feel, and the tank controls are spot on - perfect for a game like this. I didn't enjoy the chase scene at the end as much, as the character turns way too slowly and the camera is a bit too zoomed in, but I still managed to escape after a few tries.
Overall, a great time and impressive for a Jam game.
Thank you for the feedback :) Yeah I should of dialed back the chase scene down there xD The turn speed though was actually a glitch! It was around 4am when I submitted the build but when I had written it out from unreal there was a strange glitch where the rotation speed was double in all the parts of the game except that underground bit... I was too tired for a proper solution so just halved the rotation speed and called it a night haha xD
Scream Jam 2021 has been awesome, and games like this are a big part of it. I miss the magic of trick or treating as a kid and this helped recapture some of the magic and scares for me.
Yeah it's been a really awesome scream jam! There was one I played where it's just walking to a train station and texting on your phone and that was brilliance (it's one of the comments below) and another old fashion tank control horror but your chased by a tutu wearing monster and stuff like that is so much dam fun 😂
I'm from Australia though and our trick or treating involved lots of water bombs though and not so much candy 😂 (should of added some into the game...). Even the street at the start of my game is pretty much modlled on a street in a Sydney suburb 😂
I'm really glad this had a bit of a trip down memory lane though for you 😊
